Runway Beauty

Recently I was asked to duplicate a headpiece I made over 10 years ago. The piece was created for a runway show in New York that we did. I’m happy to say this classic beauty definitely stood the test of time!

Vera Wang 2014~architecture and discipline

Bridal week was fast and furious. It was especially fast for the Erin Cole team as we Show our 2014 bridal accessory collection while finding time in between to do the purchasing for our Couture Bridal Salon as well. As I made my way over to Vera Wang I was very taken by the black and tan mixed with silk white for this collection. I also loved our introduction sheet for the line that read: “The spring 2014 Bridal Collection celebrates a sense of architecture and discipline.” The edgy play of texture on texture and the layering of new laces gave a new level of expression on modern sensuality. As always Vera Wang never dissapoints us on her research to not only stay ahead of the tread, but to create the trend with her luxurious fabrics and shapes. Hope you enjoy~e

Gorgeous in green

Oh for the love of St Patty! Im In love with these gorgeous green vintage jewels. Most of the time for weddings brides tend to be a little conservative when it comes to color and bridal accessories….I absolutely love a splash of color mixed in with the headpiece, or earrings. Please don’t turn down the opportunity to wear one of Grandma’s fabulous jeweled pieces because of a little color. Go outside the box, adorn yourself and enjoy the fabulous COLOR!!!! E

Heavenly headpieces

These heavenly headpieces win the award today for inspiring me to create a headpiece I adore without limitations. The artistry and complexity of each fabulous piece fills me with feelings of fashion extordanaire. I especially love the mint tissue paper rose with the matching green mask, and the rose masquerade ensemble kitty corner. The inspiration really starts here, but the real beauty starts on the cutting table after you have cut out your fabrics and chosen the different textures and elements that you love! The design process is my passion, I can’t wait to take you into my design house in the days ahead! Hope you enjoy!~e

This will be a fun topic for me because I love matching hair-do’s to the dress if you can imagine that. For every girl there is a gown, and for every gown there is a hairstyle that should reflect the occasion. These are some long locks that I find stunning. I love a very soft natural looking locks as opposed to super done perfectly placed curled hair. It’s just my opinion but I think if you look at both styles you will agree that perfectly coiffed hair is perfectly passé. E
